Lauren recently earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology with a minor in Japanese. Lauren was a fellow with the support of the Jeffrey R. Ralston Foundation. Lauren presented a research poster of her work at the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology in November 2012 in Chicago. David Holleran (Associate Professor and Chair) said of Lauren’s performance as a Ralston fellow that “Lauren set the bar for all future Ralston fellows. Her work over the past year was exemplary.” Lauren will submit her research paper from the Ralston fellowship to the TCNJ Journal of Student Scholarship. Lauren is a member of the honor societies Alpha Phi Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi, and she was involved in the Criminology Student Association. She served as the peer mentor for the Criminology Department. Last summer Lauren interned at the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and she worked at TCNJ’s Office of Campus Police Services. Lauren has been offered full funding for graduate studies in criminology and she is awaiting notification from additional programs before making her final decision.
